The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and a representative of Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., (Entergy or the applicant) held a telephone conference call on July 15, 2014, to discuss the status of the environmental review of the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3 (IP2 and IP3) license renewal application. The applicant was informed that the NRC intended to issue a further supplement to the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (FSEIS) for the license renewal of IP2 and IP3, NUREG-1437, Supplement

38. The NRC informed the applicant that it intends to address in the supplement to the FSEIS ongoing issues relevant to the IP2 and IP3 license renewal review, including the applicants submittal of additional information in the area of aquatic impacts and severe accident mitigation alternatives. A schedule for the FSEIS is under development and will be issued once finalized.

The applicant had an opportunity to comment on this summary.
