NOTIFICATION OF THE NRC OF EMPLOYEES' POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUES In an letter dated July 28, 1989, Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) responded to Mr. Victor Stello, Jr.'s April 27, 1989 letter on the above subject. You stated that CP&L does not believe any of the agreements with its employees are inconsistent with Mr. Stello's letter. You also informed us that you have written to one former employee with whom CP&L entered into a settlement agreement to remove any possible doubt that the former employee may contact the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on nuclear safety concerns.
We request that you provide us with a copy of that settlement agreement. NRC is not interested in the monetary terms of the settlement, and you may delete those terms from the copy of the agreement you send us.
In any case, it is NRC's intention to treat the settlement agreement submitted via this request as Confidential Information.
The reporting and/or recordkeeping requirements of this letter affect fewer than ten respondents; therefore, OMB clearance is not required under P. L.96-511.
