10 CFR 50 APPENDIX R -
FIRE PROTECTION WORKSHOP Recent NRC inspections of plants located in other Regions have identified a number of areas in which the requirements of the Fire Protection Rule of 10 CFR 50 Section 48 and Appendix R have not been adequately implemented.
To help resolve any misunderstandings associated with the Appendix R requirements, a workshop will be conducted on May 4, 1984, in the auditorium of the Richard B. Russell Building, 75 Spring Street, SW,
- Atlanta, Georgia.
This meeting will provide open discussion with the attendees concerning any questions pertinent to the Appendix R requirements.
The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m.
and end at approximately 4:00 p.m. Participants in the meeting will be personnel from NRC's.Offices of Nuclear Reactor Regulation and Inspection and Enforcement.
Members of your staff are invited to this meeting.
It is suggested that personnel from your licensing, design engineering, operational plant staff, and fire protection organization as well as a representative from the architectural and engineering and/or consulting firm who performed the Appendix R review of your plant attend this meeting.
