The meeting was convened for the purpose of CP&L's presentation of the restructuring of the company's corporate organization.
The meeting related to activities authorized by NRC License Numbers DPR-23, DPR-62, DPR-71, CPPR-158 and CPPR-159.
Opening. remarks were made by Mr. James P. O'Reilly, the NRC Regional Administrator, who discussed the purpose of the meeting. Mr. E. E. Utley, Executive Vice President, CP&L, presented the corporate reorganization. The major restructuring of the corporate organization is a step in the licensee's move toward nuclear consolidation.
More detailed presentations of organization responsibilities and philosophy were made by members of the CP&L corporate staff.
During the presentation, discussions and comments relative to the organizational relationships were held between the meeting participants.

Opening remarks were made by Mr. James P. O'Reilly, the NRC Regional Administrator, who discussed the purpose of the meeting. Mr. E. E. Utley, Executive Vice President, CP&L, presented the corporate reorganization.
The major restructuring of the corporate organization is a step in the licensee's move toward nuclear consolidation.
More detailed presentations of organization responsibilities and philosophy were made by members of the CP&L corporate staff.
During the presentation, discussions and comments relative to the organizational relationships were held between the meeting participants.
It is our opinion that this meeting was beneficial and has provided for a better understanding of your organizational goals. Your cooperation with us is appreci ated.
