Dear Mr. Orser:
This refers to the inspection conducted from June 1-4, 1998 at the General
. Office, Raleigh,. North Carolina, which reviewed the Access Authorization and
Fitness For Duty Programs for the Brunswick, Harris, and Robinson facilities.
The purpose of the inspection was to follow up on Carolina Power and Light
Company's corrective actions to the violations documented in Report Nos.
50-325/97-01, 50-324/97-01, 50-400/97-02, 50-261/97-02, 50-400/98-02-01, and
50-400/98-02-02. The enclosed report represents the results of this
inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures,
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations of
activities in progress.
Within the scope of the inspection, violations or deviations were not
identified.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of
this letter, its enclosure, and your response (if
you choose to provide one)
