CLOSEOUT OF TAC NO. MA4636 REGARDING REQUEST FOR RELIEF FROM ASME BOILER AND PRESSURE VESSEL CODE, SECTION XI - SYSTEM HYDROSTATIC TESTING - H. B. ROBINSON STEAM ELECTRIC PLANT, UNIT NO. 2 (HBRSEP2)

Dear Mr. Young:

In our telephone conversation on August 25, 1999, and your letter dated August 27, 1999, you expressed your intent to revise Relief Request No. 25 concerning alternatives to system hydrostatic testing in accordance with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel (BP&V),Section XI to10 CFR 50.55(a)(3). In that telephone conversation and letter, you expressed your intent to revise Relief Request No. 25 after the Refueling Outage (RFO-1 9) is completed to support activities in the ensuing outage RFO-20. Accordingly, we have closed the work request under TAC MA4636. We will start our review of the subject relief when a revision is submitted for the next refueling outage.
