  • 90% of CAP procedures are the same for all three sites.

Need a standard procedure

  • Robinson-CAP produces lots of graphs/pie charts/memos for trending; however, managers don't find this useful
  • Robinson - Line Management Ownership

+ Significant Improvement Noted CP&L

Examples of PES Assessments Plant Requested Robinson Maintenance 94-04-MA-R December 5-9, 1994

  • Issues:

+ Threshold for OE information is not appropriate/OE not effectively utilized

  • Weakness:

+4 of 12 jobs observed had procedure problems

  • 8 of 12 jobs observed suffered delays equal to 4 Man-Hours each
  • Tech. Support Engineer brought an uncontrolled manual to work site
  • Maintenance self-assessments were inconsistent - one was rated "poor"
  • Improvements Noted By NAS Since December 1994 CP&L

Examples of PES Assessments Regulatory-Required Nuclear Assessment Sections 94-05-QA-CORP December 12-19, 1994

  • Important Attributes
