REGIONAL REVIEW OF LICENSEE CORRECTIVE ACTIONS On December 12, 1990, we advised you that we would no longer provide written acknowledgement of the receipt and review of your responses to Severity Level IV and V Notice(s) of Violation (NOV),

when those responses were completely acceptable. This change was made in an effort to reduce unnecessary paperwork. However, in response to this initiative, many licensees expressed their desire that we formally disposition these NOV responses.to assure that issues are not inadvertently dropped.

Consequently, we have reversed our position and will return to our prior practice of responding to all NOV response letters.

No response to this letter is required.
