Gentlemen:
During the conference call of April 24, 1979 the Licensing Board indicated that it would like to receive further explanation of the conclusions set forth in SER, Supplement 2.
We have reviewed Supple ment 2 and believe that the enclosed documents serve to amplify the conclusions stated therein. These documents contain the safety evalua tions written by the Staff with respect to the issues evaluated at pages 3-4 of Supplement. (We have also included a transmittal regard ing rod bow from the Licensee to the Staff). We believe that these documents provide the supplementation requested by the Board. Should the Board determine that it requires additional information on any topic addressed in Supplement 2, we will, of course, attempt to supply such information.
We are sending this information at this time to enable the Board to continue its review of Supplement 2. We will respond to the other matters raised in the conference call as soon as our evaluations are complete and.our positions determined.
