Senator Feinstein's letter to Chairman Macfarlane Importance: High Hello Scott and Patricia, Thank you for meeting with me a couple of weeks ago regarding the emergency preparedness and security measures for the decommissioning power plants. Your briefing was very beneficial and added significant value.
During the meeting, I had indicated Senator Feinstein's interest in sending a letter regarding 1) formal rule, and 2) factors that NRC would consider for SONGS exception.
Senator Feinstein has sent the following letter today to the Chairman. I suspect it will make its way down to you, but wanted to send you an electronic copy.
