Larry, The NRC staffs draft RAI for the subject LAR is attached to this e-mail. The draft RAI is not an official NRC staff request and is being provided to you to facilitate a subsequent conference call to determine: 1) If the questions clearly convey the NRC staff information needs; 2) Whether the regulatory basis for the questions is understood; and 3) Whether the information is already available in existing, docketed, correspondence.

The questions provided are for the NRCs Nuclear Codes and Performance Branch. It is expected that additional questions will be received from the reactor systems portion of the review, however, those are scheduled for September, 2014.

Additionally, please note that these RAIs contain information proprietary to Duke (The NRCs determination that the information meets the standards in 10 CFR 2.390 for withholding is available in ADAMS under accession No. ML14105A484). I have included a redacted version of the RAIs. In addition to the request above, please review the redacted version to confirm that it does not contain any proprietary information.
