RIVER BEND STATION, UNIT 1-WITHDRAWAL OF REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE RE: OBTAINING INFORMATION ON DAMS (TAC NO. MF3040)
Dear Sir or Madam:
By letter dated September 30, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML13277A357), Entergy Operations Inc. (Entergy, the licensee),
requested assistance from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in obtaining information regarding dams from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. By letter dated February 20, 2014 (ADAMS Accession No. ML14069A089), Entergy informed the NRC that this assistance is no longer needed as Entergy has determined that there is no credible scenario in which the failure of any dam on the Mississippi River or its tributaries will have adverse effects on the site.
The NRC acknowledges your request to withdraw the request for assistance. NRC staff activities on this effort have ceased and the associated Technical Assignment Control number (MF3040) has been closed.
