SEABROOK STATION, UNIT NO. 1 -CORRECTION TO ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT 139 REGARDING THE USE OF OPTIMIZED ZIRLO' FUEL ROD CLADDING MATERIAL (TAC NO. MF2410)
Dear Mr. Walsh:
On March 5, 2014 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession (ADAMS) No. ML13213A143), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No. 139 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-86 for the Seabrook Station, Unit No. 1 (Seabrook). The amendment modified Seabrook's TS to allow the use of Optimized ZIRLO' as an approved fuel rod cladding material as requested in your application dated June 25, 2013. This change was consistent with the NRC allowed use of Optimized ZIRLO TM fuel cladding material as documented in the Safety Evaluation (SE) included in Addendum 1-A to Westinghouse topical report WCAP-12610-P-A and CENPD-404-P-A, "Optimized ZIRLO'."
The NRC staff made an administrative error on the first full paragraph under Condition 6 on page 4 of the SE, by excluding the following ADAMS Accession No. in the list of Westinghouse Lead Test Assembly data and model references: ML13070A188. The same omission was made on the first full paragraph under Condition 7 on page 5 of the SE in the list of Westinghouse Lead Test Assembly data and model references.
This error does not have any bearing on the NRC staff's technical evaluation or conclusions.
