REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNITS 1 AND 2 PROPOSED EXTENSION REQUEST REGARDING RESPONSE 2 TO MARCH 12, 2012, REQUEST FOR INFORMATION, ENCLOSURE 2, RECOMMENDATION 2.1, FLOOD HAZARD REEVALUATION REPORT DOCKET NOS. 50-313 AND 50-368 By letter dated March 12, 2012 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML12053A340), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued a request for information pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 50.54(f), regarding, in part, a flooding hazard revaluation report for Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2 (ANO). In that letter, the required response schedule for the report was specified to be in accordance with the NRCs prioritization plan, which corresponds to March 12, 2014, for ANO. By letter dated June 8, 2012 (ADAMS Accession No. ML12164A567), Entergy Operations, Inc.

(Entergy, the licensee) committed to submit the flood hazard reevaluation for ANO by March 12, 2014. By letter dated March 12, 2014 (ADAMS Accession No. ML14071A459), Entergy requested an extension for the completion of the report based on the schedule to receive input information from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). In Entergys letter dated March 12, 2014, the licensee requested an extension for submission of the flood hazard reevaluation report to a date six months after the USACE information is received by the licensee. In order for the NRC staff to complete its review of the extension request, a response to the following request for additional information is requested.

1.) The NRC staff requests that Entergy provide a more detailed breakdown of the activities and analyses that remain to be conducted, as well as the associated schedule for those activities and analyses. The NRC staff suggests that a Gantt chart or similar format would be an effective means of communicating the schedule information.
