In accordance with the guidelines in Revision 9, Supplement 1 of NUREG-1 021, Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power Reactors, Duke Energy Progress, Inc. formerly known as Carolina Power and Light Company, is providing the enclosed operating test, written examination, and the supporting reference materials identified in Attachment 3 to ES-201, Reference Material Guidelines For Initial Licensing Examinations, for examinations scheduled to begin the week of July 29, 2013.

As required by Attachment 1 of Revision 9, Supplement 1, of NUREG-1 021, Section ES-201, Examination Security and Integrity Considerations, please ensure that these examination materials are withheld from public disclosure until after the examinations are complete.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 55.40(b)(3), Mr. James Conder, as the designated authorized representative of the H. B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant, Unit No. 2, has approved these outlines for examination of the applicants.

As required by Revision 9, Supplement 1, of NUREG-1 021, Section ES-201, Initial Operator Licensing Examination Process, please ensure that these outlines are withheld from public disclosure until after the examinations are complete.
