Dear Sir:
This letter describes a.reportable occurrence involving.the Component tooIlIng Water System as defined ih Section. 69.2 Appendix A the Provisional Operating Litense DPR-13.
In accord&nce with IE Bvletit 79-144 field verificstion of Line 3009-2"-A. dtermined that a. Ubolt support had not been installed per the seismic input.documentation.
Line 3009-2"-As the Residual' Heat Removal Pump (Gd4A). shaft seal cooling water return line.
As required by. E Bulletin 79-14, 6n engineering-evaluation was undertaken to-detemine if the operability of the piping might be j6opardited during: a seismic event.
This evaluation indicated that the piping-would be stressed-in excess of allowable levels but.not above the yield stress.
Accordingly, the missing -bolt support will be installed.
The pump was out of service for overhaul at the time thls deficiency was identified and in accordance with Appendix A Technical Specifications was not declared operable until the as-built configuration was in secordance with the seismic input documentation..
A complete report-on this matter together with a Licensee Event Report will be forwarded within two weeks.
