Docket No. 50-206 Monthly Operating Report for November 1990 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1 Technical Specification 6.9.1.10 to Provisional Operating License DPR-13 for the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1, requires SCE provide a Monthly Operating Report which includes: routine operating statistics and shutdown experience; and, all challenges to pressurizer safety and relief valves.
This letter transmits the November 1990 Monthly Operating Report for Unit 1.
There were no challenges to pressurizer safety or relief valves during the reporting period.
The Cumulative generation statistics reflected in previous Unit 1 Monthly Operating Reports have been based on initial criticality as the starting date.
In comparison, The Units 2 and 3 historical statistics are based on commercial operation as the starting dates, as suggested in in Regulatory Guide 1.16,
'Reporting of Operating Information-Appendex A', Revision 4, dated August 1975.
This regulatory guide provides an option for units already in commercial operation to recalculate cumulative statistics to commercial operation starting dates.
SCE reviewed the Unit 1 generation history and appropriately revised the cumulative statistics in order to be consistent with Units 2 and 3 reporting.
The Unit 1 November 1990 report now reflects cumulative figures based on commercial operation as the starting date.
The affected figures in the Operating Status section of this report are annotated by asterisks (*)
