Docket No. 50-206 Technical Specifications Change Associated with the 480 Volt System Modifications San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1 The purpose of this letter is to inform you that we will require additional time to provide the proposed technical specification change associated with the 480 volt system modifications. We committed by a letter dated October 31, 1989, "Status of Miscellaneous Outstanding Licensing Issues," to provide a detailed technical description of the modifications and an associated proposed change by February 2, 1990. We have incorporated the detailed technical description of the modifications in the proposed change and made efforts to submit the proposed change by the due date. However, the proposed change has an impact on technical specifications as a result of an effort to improve Section 3.7, "Auxiliary Electrical Supply," to be consistent with the Westinghouse Standard Technical Specifications, and the review process has raised issues which must be addressed from an integrated perspective on technical specifications.
The revision of the proposed change is currently under Edison review. We anticipate the submittal by March 30, 1990.
