Docket No. 50-206 Amendment Application No. 168 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 Enclosed is Amendment Application No. 168 to Provisional Operating License DPR-13. Amendment Application No. 168 consists of Proposed Change No. 191 which is a request to revise Appendix A, Technical Specifications, of Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13.
Specifically, Proposed Change No. 191 is a request to revise the Appendix A Technical Specifications to establish consistency between the NRC Staff Official version and the Southern California Edison (SCE) controlled version.
This proposed change is being submitted at the request of the NRC to eliminate differences between the NRC and SCE versions of the SONGS 1 Technical Specifications. The proposed changes are administrative in nature and do not affect the manner in which the facility is operated. Specific changes include reordering and deleting numbers for definitions in Section 1.0, renumbering tables in some sections to be consistent with the numbering scheme in the remaining sections, renumbering pages starting with each subsection to simplify future page number changes, and revisions of defined terms to the proper defined term and capitalized type.
One change of a substantive nature is to include Specification 3.3.4, "MINIMUM SOLUTION VOLUME HYDRAZINE IN THE HYDRAZINE TANK."
The NRC version does not appear to include this section. This is assumed to be merely an administrative error, as to SCE's knowledge this section is still applicable.
