Docket No. 50-206 Amendment Application No. 151 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 Provided for NRC review and approval is Amendment Application No. 151 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13. Amendment Application No. 151 consists of Proposed Change No. 169 which requests revision of the Appendix A Technical Specifications relating to control rod insertion limits.
Proposed Change No. 169 is a request to revise Technical Specification 3.5.2, "Control Group Insertion Limits" to preclude the insertion of Control Group 1 during plant operation. This revision will allow for future core design, consistent with the revised limits, that stretches fuel cycle length and lowers neutron leakage. Accordingly, it is currently planned that the upcoming Cycle X reload will be designed assuming no allowable Control Group 1 insertion.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 170.12, the review of Proposed Change No. 169 contained in Amendment Application No. 151 has been determined to require a fee of
$150.00. Accordingly, SCE's check in the amount of $150.00 is enclosed.
