Docket No. 50-206 Amendment Application No. 139 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 Enclosed is Amendment Application No. 139 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13. Amendment Application No. 139 consists of Proposed Change No. 155 which is a request to revise Appendix A, Technical Specifications, of Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13.
Proposed Change No. 155 is a request to revise Appendix A Technical Specifications to provide clarification of the applicable 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix 3, leak testing requirements for containment personnel airlocks. The changes to the existing specification are primarily editorial in nature and consistent with the Westinghouse Standard Technical Specifications. In addition to the editorial changes, Proposed Change No. 155 will reduce the lower pressure airlock test pressure from 10 psig to 3 psig. This change is consistent with the airlock manufacturer's recommendation in order to reduce the potential for airlock seal damage from testing at 10 psig.
Pursuant to 10CFR 170.12, the review of the Proposed Change 155 contained in Amendment Application No. 139 has been determined to require a fee of $150.00. Accordingly, SCE's check in the amount of $150.00 is enclosed.
