Docket No. 50-206 Supplement to Amendment Application No. 176 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 The purpose of this letter is to provide you with a Supplement to Amendment Application No. 176. This supplement is a request to correct typographical errors and editorial oversights in the Technical Specifications. This supplement supersedes our Amendment Application No. 176, dated March 6, 1990.
Amendment Application No. 176 was initially submitted to resolve editorial discrepancies within the SONGS 1 Technical Specifications. Your preliminary review noted there were additional typographical errors which weren't addressed by Amendment Application No. 176. Accordingly we undertook an extensive effort to review the technical specifications and identify all the typographical errors and editorial oversights. The results of the review are included in the enclosed Supplement to Amendment Application No. 176.
Amendment Application No. 176 also revised Section 6.4.1, Training, to reflect the revision to 10 CFR 55. However the revision only included the reference to 10 CFR 55 for licensed operators and incorrectly removed the reference to Section 5.5, Retraining and Replacement Training, of ANSI N18.1-1971.
This particular section of the ANSI Standard provides for retraining and 901030017B 901025 PDR ADO3CK 05000206 P

Document Control Desk October 25, 1990 replacement training of the non-licensed unit staff. This supplement corrects Section 6.4.1 to remove only those items superseded by 10 CFR 55 and reinstates the reference to Section 5.5 of ANSI N18.1-1971.
