Docket No. 50-206 Amendment Application No. 187 Correction of Reference to National Fire Protection Code in Technical Specification 6.4, "Training" San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 This letter submits Amendment Application No. 187 to Provisional Operating License DPR-13 for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1 (SONGS 1).
This amendment application requests a revision to Technical Specification Section 6.4, "Training," to reference the correct edition of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standard concerning the fire brigade training program.
The existing reference to the 1976 edition of NFPA Standard No. 27 in the Technical Specifications is in error since there is no 1976 edition of that standard. The correct reference is the 1975 edition of that standard. This erroneous reference was included in the Technical Specifications as part of NRC Amendment No. 31 (which implemented Proposed Change No. 62).
