- 2. Letter, M. 0. Medford, SCE, to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Steam Generator Inspections, March 25, 1988 Reference 1 provided the NRC review of Southern California Edison's (SCE's) steam generator inspection documented in a report enclosed with Reference 2.
The review concluded that resumption of power operation was acceptable, from a steam generator tube integrity standpoint. Reference 1 also requested additional detail to support SCE's conclusion that intergranular attack (IGA) is not progressing in the steam generators at San Onofre Unit 1. Accordingly, responsive to that request the information presented in the enclosed report entitled, "1988 Intergranular Attack Assessment, San Onofre Unit 1, May 1988" is provided for NRC review.
