Subject; Docket No. 50-206 Emergency Procedures and Training for Station Blackout Events San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 By letter dated February 25, 1981, the NRC requested an assess ment of our existing or planned facility procedures and training programs for response to station blackout events. The response.to your request was required to be submitted within 90 days following receipt of the letter forwarding the request. The purpose of this letter is to notify you that the requested information will not be available within the ninety-day period and to reschedule the submittal date.
As you are aware, San Onofre Unit 1 has.been undergoing extensive modifications.during the extended refueling outage which has recently been completed. The manpower requirements needed to return the unit to power operation prevented the utilization of personnel to perform the expeditious review and evaluations required to comply with your request. It is now expected that a response can be provided by July 17, 1981.
