MANAGEMENT MEETNG
This refers to the management meeting held bctween Southern California Edison
Company and Region V management at the Region V office on April 30, 1992. The
purpose of the meeting was to discuss the status of your engineering
improvement program, recent plant events, and other topics of mutual interest.
Details of the meeting are described in the enclosed Meeting Report.
We recognize the efforts that you have taken to improve the capability of your
engineering organization, specifically in the area of design. It is very
important that each licensee thoroughly understand the design of their
facility, and your improvement program should provide benefits in this regard.
We encourage you to continue to promote the goals of the program as it becomes
fully implemented and as the design organization matures.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosed
report will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
