4S Southern California Edison Company 23 PARKER STREET IRVINE, CALIFORNIA 92718 RICHARD M. ROSENBLUM A
3 99 TELEPHONE VICE PRESIDENT August 9
714-458-4550 License Fee and Debt Collection Branch Office of the Controller U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C. 20555-0001 Gentlemen:
Subject:
Request for Invoice Extension and Review
References:
- 1) USNRC Invoice XT0454-93, dated 7/6/93
- 2) USNRC Invoice XT0392-93, dated 7/12/93 In accordance with the "NRC Procedures for Extending Payment Dates of License, Inspection, and Annual Fee Invoices," Southern California Edison (SCE) requests an extension of the payment period and a review of portions of the referenced invoices. The amounts in question are $47,582 on Reference 1, and
$31,017 on Reference 2.
The extension and review are requested because San Onofre Unit 1 has been permanently shutdown since November 30, 1992, and no license exams were administered after that date. The referenced invoices indicate license exams were administered subsequent to this date. We have contacted the License Fee and Debt Collection staff but were unable to obtain any additional information concerning these charges. Therefore, SCE believes these charges are incorrect.
If it can be demonstrated that the charges are valid, SCE will authorize payment. However, should it be determined these invoices are incorrect, SCE will have no further obligation in this matter.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. W. L. Davidson at 714-454-4466.
Very truly yours, cc:
S. W. Brown, NRC Project Manager, San Onofre Unit 1 0 4000 CS 9308050302 930803 PDR ADOCK 05000206 I
