Docket Nos. 50-206, 50-361 and 50-362 Updated Fire Hazards Analysis, Revision 9 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Units 1, 2 and 3 In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.71(e), the Southern California Edison Company hereby submits the ninth annual revision to the Updated Fire Hazards Analysis (UFHA), San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), Units 1, 2 and 3. Enclosed are one signed original and ten (10) additional copies of the SONGS Units 1, 2 and 3 UFHA, Revision 9.
The revision is submitted on a replacement page basis and updates or clarifies existing information in the UFHA. To denote the changes, each changed page includes the date of change (February 1993), the revision number (Revision 9),
and a vertical change bar located in the page margin adjacent to the revised information.
Revision 9 incorporates all required changes to the UFHA drawings as a result of approved design change notices (DCNs) except for 19 DCNs which were found to be inaccurate in the course of this update and need to be corrected. These DCNs will affect some drawings which will be included in Revision 10.
Additionally, this revision of the UFHA includes a change to Section 5.5.1 to allow changes to Fire Area Combustible Loading to be calculated by either the existing computer program (FPDS) or an equivalent method (i.e., manual calculation).
