Letter, Richard F. Dudley, NRC, to Kenneth P. Baskin, SCE, dated May 27, 1986 The referenced letter requested SCE to provide a schedule for investigation of alternatives and associated corrective actions to reduce crankshaft transient torsional stresses on our standby diesel generators. We are currently performing a study of alternatives and expect to determine any necessary corrective measures by December 31, 1986. We will inform you of our determination at that time.
