Docket No. 50-206 Control Room HVAC Design Review San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 As part of the subject review, SCE has committed to provide an interim modification to the Control Room HVAC which would add heaters to warm the intake air and thereby provide for improved humidity control to minimize the impact of moisture on the efficiency of the charcoal filters.
The purpose of this letter is to provide a schedule for completion of this modification.
Based on preliminary design information, it is expected that the modification can be completed during the planned mid-cycle outage. This outage is currently scheduled to start during the first quarter of 1987. As the design and procurement efforts continue, the NRC will be provided with updated information regarding the schedule for implementation.
