Docket No. 50-206 Reload Safety Evaluation for Cycle 9 Operation San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 completed its eighth cycle of operation on November 21, 1985.

The cycle burnup at the end of Cycle 8 was 9460 MWD/MTU. Return to power for Cycle 9 operation is now scheduled for June 14, 1986. Enclosed is the reload Safety Evaluation which documents that the Cycle 9 core remains within the previous design bases and that no Technical Specification changes are required. This document is being provided for your information only as we have concluded that no unreviewed safety questions per 10 CFR 50.59 are caused by the reload.
