Docket No. 50-206 SEP Topic 111-6, Seismic Design Considerations Technical Basis for Stress-Strain Correlation San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 The criteria and methodology for the San Onofre Unit 1 Long Term Service Seismic Reevaluation Program have been discussed with the NRC staff in several meetings during the past few months.
As a result of these meetings, an overall seismic qualification approach has been developed for San Onofre Unit 1. The purpose of this letter is to forward the proposed piping strain criteria and stress-strain correlation methodology for piping qualification at San Onofre Unit 1. Accordingly, provided as enclosures 1 and 2 are Impell Corporation report, "San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1, Long Term Service Seismic Reevaluation Program, Technical Basis for Stress-Strain Correlation," Revision 1, dated January 1986 and the supplement to this report dated March 7, 1986.
