Docket No. 50-206 SEP Topic 111-6, Seismic Design Considerations Superpipe Benchmark Problems San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 As part of the NRC review of the Long Term Service Seismic Reevaluation of San Onofre Unit 1, it was requested that SCE perform additional verification of the computer codes used for the analysis of piping systems. The approach which was undertaken involved performing the analyses suggested in the NRC Benchmark problems prepared for verification of the multiple level response spectrum method of dynamic analysis used for seismic qualification of piping systems.
This effort has been completed and a report prepared for your review.
Accordingly, enclosed are 3 copies of the report entitled, "Superpipe Verification to Benchmark Problems for Multiple Response Spectra Method," July 31, 1985, Impell Report No. 01-0310-1413.
