Docket No. 50-206 SEP Topic 111-6 Seismic Design Considerations San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 The purpose of this letter is to submit the report of Enclosure 1 entitled, "Summary of Results for RTS Active Valve and Equipment Evaluations",
dated November 8, 1984 for San Onofre Unit 1. This report documents the seismic evaluations which were performed for mechanical equipment supports and valves.
The results of the evaluations have determined that all equipment within scope is qualified. In addition, provided as Enclosure 2 are three sample calculations, EQ-01, EQ-06 and EQ-09 which demonstrate the methods applied to the equipment evaluations for the Auxiliary Feedwater Turbine Driven Pump G-10, the Seal Water Heat Exchanger E-34, and the Charging Pumps G-8A and G-8B, respectively.
