- 0. M. Crutchfield, NRC, Dated February 24, 1984 Reference A provided a conceptual design for the degraded grid voltage protection scheme for San Onofre Unit 1. Reference B informed the NRC of SCE's intention to perform an evaluation of design alternatives based on a safety/cost benefit standpoint. SCE has determined that an evaluation of design alternatives will be unnecessary. Therefore, SCE will implement a degraded grid voltage protectioq scheme consistent with that proposed in our April 19, 1982 letter. The schedule for implementation of this modification will be determined in accordance with the next revision of the Integrated Living Schedule for San Onofre Unit 1.
