Letter, Mr. Kenneth P. Baskin (SCE) to USNRC, dated August 17, 1987 Reference (A) forwarded NRC Inspection Report No. 50-206/87-05 and two violations resulting from the special team inspection conducted by Mr. R. C. Sorenson, et. al., from June 1 through June 12, 1987.

Reference (A) also contained a request to address additional concerns identified in the forwarding letter.

Reference (B) was transmitted to the NRC on August 17, 1987, and contained SCE's response to the two violations contained in the Notice of Violation.

As discussed in Reference (B) and.with Mr. D. F. Kirsch (NRC) on September 17, 1987, additional time is required to provide a complete response to the additional items contained in the forwarding letter of Reference (A).

Accordingly, SCE will submit the requested response to these additional items by October 8, 1987.
