SAN ONOFRE INSPECTION REPORTS 50-206/87-02,
50-361/87-03 AND 50-362/87-04
Enclosed is the report of the inspection performed at San Onofre Units 1, 2,
and 3 by Messrs. E. T. Baker, J. B. Jacobson, R. P. McIntyre, P. J. Prescott,
E. H. Trottier, and R. C. Wilson of the Vendor Program Branch, and Mr. L. R.
Wharton of the Quality Assurance Branch on February 2-13, 1987 and March 2-6,
1987. The inspection report contains two Potential Enforcement Findings (PEF),
one concerning the use of a commercial grade-circuit breaker in a safety-related
.
application without adequate dedication and the second PEF concerns the listing
of unqualified butt splices on the master equipment qualification lists for
Units 1, 2, and 3 without adequate documentation to substantiate the qualification.
The PEFs are being referred to you for appropriate followup and resolution. If
