Reference:
Letter, K. P. Baskin (SCE) to J. B. Martin (NRC), same subject, dated November 12, 1985.
The referenced letter provided Southern California Edison's (SCE) response to a Notice of Violation in the subject inspection reports. In the referenced letter, SCE stated a revision to Procedure S023-WPP/QCI-802 (now SO123-WPP/QCI-1802), "Construction Work Order" would be issued by December 31, 1985. This revision would include additional guidance for the installation of temporary scaffolds and the routing of temporary power cables.
In order to develop a comprehensive program to assure adequate control of these installations, SCE requires additional time to issue this procedure.
Our current schedule will issue this procedure and all other related Maintenance procedures to support the implementation of this program by February 15, 1986.
In the interim, SCE is performing engineering evaluations, verification, and documentation of each installation, as required, to meet the provisions of 10 CFR 50.59 and 10 CFR 50, Appendix B.
