89-10, issued June 28, 1989, requested that licensees perform a variety of test and surveillance activities to ensure the operability of safety-related MOVs under design-basis conditions. This generic letter also.

requested a commitment that the schedule and recommendations in this generic letter will be met. The purpose of this letter is to inform the NRC that SCE is proceeding with development of plans and procedures to implement the recommendations of this generic letter and will be submitting our schedule commitment response by January 11, 1990.

This delay is due to the unavailability of resources required to support this activity and the multiple-discipline agreements needed to make the requested commitments.
