SONGS 2 AND 3 FUEL SHOULDER GAP CLEARANCE (TAC# 57736 & 57737)

Reactor Systems Review Status:
Complete The Reactor Systems Branch has reviewed the information provided by Southern California Edison (SCE) based on shoulder gap measurements taken at SONGS 2 at end-of-cycle 2. Based on this, the staff concludes that the Batch C and D fuel assemblies in Cycle 3 and the Batch D assemblies to be loaded in Cycle 4 are acceptable with respect to shoulder gap clearance and that the Unit 2 license commitment has been satisfied. The results are also applicable to Unit 3 operation and satisfies its license condition with regard to shoulder gap clearance.
This completes our effort on TACS 57736 and 57737. Our SER and the applicable SALP input is enclosed.
