San Clemente Community Center Ole Hanson Room 100 N Calle Seville San Clemente, California PURPOSE:
To inform the public of the licensee's plans for decommissioning the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1. The NRC staff will present information regarding the decommissioning regulations and inspection oversight of the facility. The licensee (Southern California Edison Company et al.) will present information regarding their planned decommissioning activities. Following the presentations, the public will have an opportunity for question and comment. The meeting will be transcribed by a court reporter. The public meeting agenda is attached.

Each person who signs-up, depending on the number and time available, will be able to make comments during the public comment period. Persons wanting to comment who did not sign-up may be heard if time permits.

Ms. Lois Berg, Mayor, City of San Clemente, opens the meeting, describes the purpose of meeting, and briefs attendees on the agenda.
7:10 p.m. - 7:40 p.m.
The licensee describes the decommissioning program for the San Cnofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1.
7:40 p.m. - 8:10 p.m.
The NRC discusses the regulatory process for the decommissioning of a nuclear power plant including the license termination process and future plant oversight.
8:10 p.m. - 8:55 p.m.
Public question and answer period followed by public comment period.
8:55 p.m.
Closing remarks by Ms. Berg and adjournment. NRC staff will remain after adjournment if necessary.
