Docket No. 50-206 Scope of Seismic Reevaluation Program SEP Topic 111-6, Seismic Design Considerations San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 The purpose of this letter is to document the final scope of the San Onofre Unit 1 seismic reevaluation program. Enclosed are three copies of the following documents:

(1) Process and Instrument Diagrams marked up to designate the reevaluation scope, and (2) Revision G to the SONGS 1 LTS Seismic Scope Chart dated June 2, 1986. The scope chart identifies for each aspect of the seismic reevaluation program the criteria and methodology used in the reevaluation.

The scope as delineated in the enclosed documents will be completed prior to return to service from the current outage. With the completion of this work, SCE has every confidence that San Onofre Unit 1 will be capable of withstanding a 0.67g modified Housner earthquake.
