SUMMARY
OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR THE MONTH DOCKET NO. 50-206 UNIT SONGS-1 DATE 04/07/80 COMPLETED BY P. WATTSON TELEPHONE (714)492-7700 At the beginning of March, the unit was at full load.
On March 3 at 2210 the unit load was reduced to 250 MWe to clean condenser inlet boxes. March 4 at 0525 the unit was returned to full load.
On March 6 at 1654 the unit was manually brought off line to replace the Pressurizer Relief Tank Rupture Diaphragm. Reactor was subcritical at 1737.
On March 7 at 0223 reactor was critical, and at 0345 the unit went on line.
At 0705 the unit returned to full load.
On March 14 at 2150 unit load was reduced to 250 MWe to clean condenser inlet water boxes and perform turbine stop valve test. The unit was returned to full load on March 15 at 0347.
From March 18 at 2030 to March 21 at 1805 the South Charging Pump was removed from service to repair thrust bearing and motor to pump coupling.
On March 22 from 0600 to 1640 the North Salt Water Cooling Pump was removed from service to replace the discharge pipe support.
On March 23 from 0600 to 1130 the unit load was reduced to 360 MWe to heat treat the circulating water system and to perform turbine stop valve test.
The unit was at full load at the end of the month.
