SUMMARY
OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR THE MONTH DOCKET NO.
50-206 UNIT SONGS-1 DATE 03/07/80 COMPLETED BY P. WATTSON TELEPHONE (714)492-7700 At the beginning of the month the unit was at cold shutdown with TMI modifications and general plant outage maintenance in progress.
On February 10 at 1040 the reactor was critical following the completion of outage projects. The unit went on line at 1450. Load increase was terminated at 2100 and 250 MWe gross due to low turbine governor oil pressure.
On February 12 at 2111 the unit was brought off the line to repair the governor oil pressure.
On February 13 at 0508 the unit went on line following the repair of the turbine control oil system. The unit reached full load at 1130.
On February 15 at 0343 unit load was reduced to 380 MWe gross to clean condenser inlet water boxes. The unit was returned to full load at 0620. At 2100 the unit load was reduced to 267 MWe gross to clean condenser inlet water boxes.
On February 16 at 0430, the unit was returned to full load.
On February 17 at 0615 the unit load was reduced to 300 MWe gross to repair a salt leak in the condenser and returned to full load at 1200.
On February 18 at 0105 the unit load was reduced to 300 MWe to clean condenser inlet water boxes. The unit was returned to full load at 1305.
On February 19 at 2345 the unit load was reduced to 300 MWe to clean condenser inlet water boxes. The unit was returned to full load on February 20 at 0635.
On February 20 at 1200 the unit load was reduced to 300 MWe gross to clean south condenser inlet water boxes. The unit was returned to full load at 1730.
At 2200 the unit load was reduced to 300 MWe gross to clean condenser inlet water boxes.
On February 21 at 0543 the unit was returned to full load. At 2200 the unit load was reduced to 300 MWe gross to clean condenser inlet water boxes.
On February 22 the unit was returned to full load.
At the end of the month the unit remained at full load.
