SUMMARY
OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR THE MONTH 50-206 DOCKET NO.
UNIT SONGS-1 DATE 12-5-79 COMPLETED BY R. G. Moran TELEPHONE (714) 492-7700 At the beginning of the month the unit was operating at 454 MWe gross.
On November 7, at 1237, the unit was manually tripped due to the loss of 480 volt Bus No. 1. Unit load was returned on November 13, at 0122.
On November 18, at 0820, the unit load was reduced to 360 MWe to heat treat the circulating water intake tunnel and perform a turbine stop valve test. Unit load was returned to full load on November 18, at 1315.
On November 28, at 0001, the unit load was reduced to 280 MWe for condenser cleaning and a stop valve test. Unit load was returned on November 28, at 0510.
On November 29, at 2110, the unit load was reduced to 280 MWe to locate and plug condenser tube leak. Unit load was returned on November 30, at 0445.
On November 30, at 0810, the unit load was reduced to 380 MWe to locate and plug condenser tube leak. Unit load was returned on November 30, at 1230.
On November 30, at 1330, the unit load was reduced to 355 MWe to locate and plug condenser tube leak. Unit load was returned on November 30, at 1850.
