OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR THE MONTH DOCKET NO.

50-206 UNIT SONGS-1 DATE 11-7-79 COMPLETED BY R.G. MORAN TELEPHONE (714) 492-7700 At the beginning of the month the unit was operating at 452 MWe gross.

On October 13, at 2126, the unit load was reduced to 220 MWe for a turbine stop valve test and condenser cleaning. Unit load was returned on October 14, at 0730.

On October 23, at 2220, the unit load was reduced to 320 MWe for a turbine stop valve test and condenser cleaning. On October 24, at 0110, the unit load was reduced to 130 MWe due to decreasing condenser vacuum from an open intertie between the condenser and hotwell.

Unit load was returned to 320 MWe at 0140. Unit load was returned to full load on October 24, at 0430.
