- 4. Letter, D. G. Eisenhut, NRC, to K. P. Baskin, SCE, Southern California Edison Company's Revised Proposal for an Integrated Living Schedule, March 29, 1984 Reference 1 forwarded the results of the NRC staff evaluation of the subject TMI Action Plan Item. The evaluation concluded that the need for reactor coolant pump (RCP) trip, following a transient or accident, should be determined by each licensee on a case-by-case basis, considering Owners Group Input. We indicated in Reference 2 that a schedule for resolution of the San Onofre Unit 1 RCP trip issue would be provided after the completion of the Westinghouse Owner's Group (WOG) generic work. Since the WOG generic work has been completed and reported to the NRC, the schedule for completion of the RCP trip evaluation for San Onofre Unit 1 is provided.
