Docket No. 50-206 Vertical Ground Motion SEP Topic 111-6 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit I Your letter dated April 2, 1983 discussed information which relates to the definition of vertical response spectra. Based on this, your letter requested additional information regarding the vertical ground response spectrum being used for the seismic reevaluation of San Onofre Unit 1.
As discussed with your staff, it is our intention to meet with the NRC staff to obtain an understanding of the NRC concerns on this matter.
Following those discussions, we will determine what additional actions may be necessary to resolve the NRC's concerns.
