Docket No. 50-206 Containment Leakage Testing San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 By letter dated December 3, 1975, we provided Amendment No. 52, Proposed Change No. 43 to the Technical Specifications. This proposed change deals with containment leakage testing and reflects the requirements of Appendix J to 10 CFR 50. Subsequent to this submittal, certain exemption requests to Appendix J were submitted by SCE letter dated April 21, 1976. By NRC letter dated August 3, 1982, you denied those exemption requests and requested that we resubmit proposed Technical Specifications that include the pertinent requirements of Appendix J.
By SCE letter dated October 15, 1982 we informed you that we expected to submit the revised Technical Specifications by November 30, 1982.
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that we require additional time to submit the proposed Technical Specifications. According to our present time schedule we expect to submit the proposed Technical Specifications by April 15, 1983.
