Initial Reactor Operator and Senior Reactor Operator Licensing Examinations and Requalification Retake Examinations at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) Units 2 and 3 During the period July 22-31, 1991, the NRC administered examinations to thirteen reactor operator and seven senior operator upgrades candidates who had applied for licenses to operate your SONGS 2 and 3 Nuclear Power Plant facilities. Requalification retake examinations were also administered during the July 22-31, 1991 time period to one reactor operator and one senior reactor operator. All thirteen reactor operators and all seven senior operators passed their examinations and were subsequently issued a license.
Both requalification retake operators passed their examinations.
No major deficiencies were identified during the examinations.
An exit meeting was held on July 31, 1991 with members of your staff.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
